About Qrious

We love solving problems. We work across sectors and countries.

We’ve built an inclusive and highly collaborative culture that brings out the best in everybody. We share our successes. We encourage continuous learning and actively work together to inspire innovative thinking and continuously evolve our designs.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented Project Lead to join our ambitious and talented team at an exciting time as we continue to grow our business. This is a fixed-term 12 month contract with a view to a permanent opportunity as this progresses.

The Role

Our Project Lead is a quick thinker, capable of understanding the context of our client’s organisation and ours, allowing them to appreciate the impact of changes that happen within their business and their sector on our project delivery.

Our Project Lead is responsible for working with clients and partners to ensure that our project approach, timing, and impact are all properly managed and aligned.

You will oversee and manage the full digital project lifecycle, from initial scoping, planning, estimating and scheduling, through to coordinating information architecture, user experience, digital design, coding and testing. You’ll be responsible for the management and smooth running of a range of digital and user experience projects.

Your day-to-day will be varied and fast-paced, but you’ll be supported and mentored by our team. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the day-to-day management of all of your project deliveries, ensuring they’re set up with appropriate governance and come in on time, budget and scope.
  • Ensuring all of our clients are having the very best experience of working with us and leading all aspects of client onboarding
  • Maintain up to date project records and providing accurate reporting to clients and internal stakeholders in line with governance reporting and meeting cadences
  • Managing risks and issues and escalating these as appropriate
  • Supporting our senior leadership and business development teams in developing and progressing new client leads through shaping project plans, providing estimates and attending pitches where required
  • Supporting the team in bid writing and tender response submissions
  • Leading client progress meetings and project updates
  • Accurately financially planning projects and working to these budgets – taking full accountability for client invoicing
  • Resource planning – working closely with our experience, design and development teams to ensure client projects are scheduled correctly and resourced appropriately
  • Supporting the Managing Director and accounts team in pulling together monthly financial reports to accurately reflect project status
  • Ensuring clients continue to be taken care of following project delivery, working with our support team to make sure clients get the most from their support plans with us

Are You The Right Person?

You’ll have a few years of experience under your belt successfully delivering projects, ideally in an agency/client facing environment. You’re an exceptional communicator, capable of taking initiative and working autonomously, making fast and informed decisions and setting up appropriate governance across all of your projects.

You’re a confident and articulate speaker, and a keen problem solver. You can multi-task whilst remaining calm and collected in a high-pressure environment. You work tirelessly to find the best outcome for your client, ensuring they get the most value from working with you and with us.

You’re reliable – you follow through on all of your actions for both internal and external stakeholders. You’re organised and an expert in all things governance, an excellent time-manager.

You thrive on variety and moving from one project or client to another. You’re pro-active and hungry to stay ahead of the curve in our marketplace, with a solid understanding of web standards, UX practices and accessibility.

You love being part of a team – you take responsibility and are accountable, willing to help where necessary and enjoy celebrating team success.

You’re also familiar with the commercial aspects of projects and know how to ensure they remain profitable whilst balancing client experience and internal delivery processes. You’ve got an excellent understanding of different project management methodologies, particularly in Agile and SCRUM.

What we need from you:

Your attitude is your most important personal attribute, but it will help if you have a few years of experience as a Project Lead or similar role. Naturally, you’ll also need to be an excellent communicator, and ideally, you will have a degree in a relevant field.

In return we can support you with:

  • 1 to 1 mentoring and investment in your learning development and wellbeing
  • A competitive salary and generous profit share scheme
  • A company pension scheme
  • Best-in-class IT hardware of your choosing
  • 26 days annual leave plus statutory UK bank holidays
  • Understanding that work is just one part of your life
  • A great culture and regular social activities
